Halloween Party

While visiting the Garzas we were able to go to a ward Halloween party with them. Jay had so much fun - mostly because of all the candy. It was great though. They had games, a haunted house and even a pinata. Little Brooklyn looked so cute in her pumpkin outfit and Jay had fun running fast in his Dash costume.

Pumpkin Patch in Dallas

We had a great time celebrating Halloween in Dallas. Jay dressed up as Dash from the Incredibles because he is so fast! On Thursday we went to a really cool pumpin patch. It was free and they had pumpkins (a given), huge hay stacks, fun little houses, bouncy castles gallore, two mazes and a ton of cars to ride on and cut out Disney characters to take your picture with. It was pretty impressive! Unfortunately we got there about an hour before closing, but we still had fun. Jay especially loved the pre-schooler maze, especially after mommy squeezed through it with him the first time. He went through it about 10 times before it became too dark to continue. We had lots of fun!

Children's Museum in Dallas

One day Melissa, Mike, Jay and I went to the Dallas Children's Museum. It was so much fun! Jay had a blast. It is such a fun place for little kids to play around. They had so many different areas for them to explore and a few fun ones for adults too. Here were are playing.

Jay loved this little ball game. We could hardly get him to leave. I love his face when the ball blows up high. So cute!

Yeah for childrens museums! We had a blast - Jay and the adults.

The Holts

I'm still working on my posts about our trip to Dallas and one wonderful thing we got to do there was see our good friends the Holts. They moved to Dallas about a year ago and it was great to reconnect with them in an unexpected place. We met Dave and Jess about 5 years ago the summer we lived in DC. Mike and Dave interned together at NCIS and we all hit it off right away. Now they have 3 beautiful children and are expecting their 4th (same due date as me!) and we have 1 with 1 on the way. How life changes. The kids had a great time playing together and we had a lot of fun hanging out. Here are some pictures of the day. Somehow I didn't get any of me or Jess or their beautiful Sydney who is 5 now, but that's just how it goes sometimes.

Jay loved riding on their powerwheels truck as a passenger but he was a terrible driver. He and Bud are the same age so Bud took over the driving. Little Charlie is actually a very good driver too and she's not even 2! Jay's behind the curve ;)

Here's their adorable new puppy. He was SO cute!

The guys getting their football fix. About half of our conversations centered around the Cougars and the other half were about work (Mike and Dave work in similar fields). The girls got some good bonding time in though while the guys were doing their usual thing. These two are literally two peas in a pod!

We had a great time visiting. Hope it's not too long before we see you again!
