The Disney Castle House Final Product!!

We are finally finished and we LOVE the results! We hope everyone else does too :)

Happy 5th Birthday Jay!!!

As usual, I cannot believe my baby is having another birthday. He is FIVE!!! What an amazing little man I have. As always he continues to amaze me with his sweet attitude and his kindness and love to everyone. He is so good to his little sister and he has such an easygoing, sweet personality. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect first child.

For his birthday this year we are in Anaheim... still working on the house! Luckily for him that meant going to a Character breakfast at Disneyland with his Nonna and Papa and then on to Disneyland with Nonna, Kristin and Kevin for a day of celebrations! They had a blast. He had a pin on all day announcing that it was his birthday and he thought it was SO cool that all the cast members wished him a Happy Birthday everywhere he went. Not a bad way to spend your 5th birthday :)

I only wish I could have spent the day with you my little! We did have cake and ice cream at night which was fun. I love my little guy beyond words and am SO grateful for him!

Our new investment

We have officially gone into business with our good friends Tal and Jess and as predicted this adventure has been plenty of work! The home we bought in Anaheim is literally a 15 minute walk from the Disneyland parking lot. It's an old home (built in the 50s) and has needed so much work. My parents have been amazing. They came down to help us with the renovations and with the kids and they have been working non-stop. There is NO way we could have done this without them. We also enlisted the help of Jessie's parents, her sister who painting a beautiful castle mural and my cousin Kristin and her boyfriend Kevin. We have made a ridiculous amount of trips to Home Depot, Walmart and Target. We have spent hours upon hours working with little sleep. We have eaten more fast food then I care to admit. We have Craigslisted, coordinated, moved furniture back and forth, painted, repainted, changed lights, redone counters, wall papered, refinished furniture, retiled (thanks to Jess's dad), and checked off one by one an endless "To Do" list. There have definitely been ups and downs... and an extra week of unplanned work, but we have created a pretty awesome vacation rental!

Back to life... kind of.

I love my babies. They are so wonderful!!! We have been so busy lately. We are finally back from our summer vacations and trying to catch up. Jay has been so excited to hang out with his best pal Bryson again. They are starting preschool together in a few weeks.

Jay has also enjoyed spending days at the park now that it is getting cooler. We are going to start soccer soon!

MyMy is getting bigger all the time. She loves playing with her brother and she also loves the park. She will even go down the slide by herself!

She also finally has long enough hair to wear pigtails!!!

Our time here in Tucson will actually be short lived (as usual). We have recently started a business with our good friends Tally and Jessie Price. We bought a home together half a mile from Disneyland and we are going there soon to renovate, decorate and create an awesome vacation rental! We are so excited!! Hopefully all will go smoothly... although it's already been a TON of work. Wish us good life!
