Happy Easter!

The Saturday before Easter the kids woke up to their Easter goodies. They didn't even know the Easter Bunny was coming so they were super excited! More candy and toys is always good.

On Sunday the kids got all dressed up in their Easter outfits and we went to church! We talked a lot the night before about the events leading up to and the first Easter Sunday when Christ was resurrected. We were down in Giradot for palm Sunday and we actually went to a Catholic procession. It was cool because the kids all got a little palm tree to plant and I talked with Jay all about the first Palm Sunday, what happened that day and why it is now called Palm Sunday. It was neat! We talked about why Jesus had to suffer and die for us and what it was like for him and of course we talked about the glorious day he was resurrected and how we will all be resurrected one day and return to Heavenly Father because of our Savior! During the sacrament Jay leaned over to me and he said, "The first time the bread hits my mouth I remember His body. Then the first time the water hits my mouth I remember his blood. It's like magic! But it's the power of God. It's funny, when that bread goes in my mouth I just remember everything that happened." From the mouth of babes. Oh how I love my little spiritual giant!

Amaya talks a lot about how Jesus had owies. That's the part she gets right now. When we were looking at the pictures of Jesus on the cross she said, "It's okay Jesus, don't cry. It's okay. You have a owie? You need a bandaid? I get you a bandaid." It was so sweet!

Oh how I love these little ones!!!

After church we went over to Manny and Moncia's for a delicious Easter dinner. Monica is such a great hostess and chef! Monica and Fico were there too along with some new friends!

All of us are pregnant! I think my tummy looks so funny here. It seriously looks like I'm just holding a medicine ball under my dress. Haha! Happy Easter everyone :)

Here is a cute Easter poem Nonna and Papa wrote for the kids! They're so wonderful :)
