We had parent teacher conferences for Jay yesterday at Gimnasio Moderno and I have to brag about my amazing little guy. He has been attending school in Colombia for a little over a year now and he is doing amazing! His teacher praised his Spanish abilities and he earned high marks (Alto) in all of his classes including Natural Science, Math, Spanish (writing and reading), Art and Social Studies. He also earned a Superior (the highest mark, only given to a few kids per class) in English and Music. Way to go Jay!!! His teacher also told us what a joy he is to have in class because he is so obedient, such a good friend to others and so empathetic. She said she wishes she could take just a little of Jay and sprinkle it into each child in her class. I love my sweet little boy. Heavenly Father truly blessed us with the kindest, sweetest little spirit. He is so in love with his new baby sister! He came home yesterday after being gone all day at school then a birthday party and went straight to see Eva. I was in my room feeding her and he immediately came over and smothered her with kisses. When I told him I had missed him he siad, "I missed you too mom but I missed Eva more." Hahaha! I love it :) I was laughing so hard as we talked for about 15 minutes before he went to bed because in that short conversation he forgot about 10 different English words. Things like little brother, hula hoop, nose, blood, boat... I think spending an entire day speaking Spanish really took a toll on his English :) What a cutie. I sure love my little guy and I am so proud of him!
