Eva's Blessing

We had Eva's blessing back here in Bogota. Jill was here since she kindly offered to fly back with me so I wouldn't have to do it with the 3 kids by myself. Plus it was fun for her to see Megan and Martin while they are here. Since everyone was so far away we decided to have the blessing in our home and Skype with everyone. Eva is wearing the blessing dress her Grandma made her (the one Amaya wore at her blessing). In the pictures she is wearing a headband made by Mimi and laying on her favorite blanket that her Papa made. Here is the blessing rundown:

Blessing:

Our dear gracious Heavenly Father, we approach you this day to give this baby a blessing by the authority of the Melchesidech priesthood and the name she shall be known as upon the records of the church is EVA LEANNA CONNELLY.

Eva, we bless you with a sound mind and sound body and good decision making power and good decision making ability throughout your life.

We bless you with the knowledge that you have a family who loves you very much and a support system that will serve you through your entire life.

We bless you with the ability to comfort others and bring a light into the world and to help others see the positive side of life.  Your optimism will be contagious to others as they serve you and as you serve in various callings and as you progress through life.

We also bless you with the ability to make good decisions in the gospel that you may live a worthy life and you may be a strength to your brother and sister and teach them through your example what they should do in their lives.

We bless you to have a desire to learn and to have a desire to help others to progress as well and we say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Back in Nevada City

We went back to Nevada City for my last few days in California. We ran through the sprinklers at Nonna and Papa's when it was hot out one day. Another day we went to Breanne's parents house for a mini friend reunion. Breanne, Lindsay, Lesley and I all came. The kids had a great time playing together! We went miniature golfing another day because Jay insisted. What a wonderful break in my hometown!
