Mimi and Martin Visit

We had so much fun meeting Megan's fiance Martin. We are so happy for the two love birds! We spent lots of time outside for the day or so they were home. Again we wish so much we could be closer!

This is the Place

While in Utah Jay, Amaya and I were able to spend a day with our good friends Jessie, Kelsey, Aiden, Mikaela and Shad. It was so wonderful to see them. I wish we lived closer!

We went to This is the Place Monument Park. It's a living history attraction highlighting the West as it was during the pioneer days. It's a pretty cool place. There are log cabins with actors washing and mending clothes - even the kids can help! They can also play games the children would have during the pioneer days. There is a little train to ride, a barn with a petting zoo and horse rides, a model ship a quarter size of the real ship many pioneers came across from Europe on, a gold mining stream and much more. It's a wonderful place!

4th of July

The kids and I spent the 4th of July in Nevada City. It was so fun to be in my hometown for the day. Zina came out to visit for the weekend too. We had such a great time! The kids LOVED the parade.

 Especially the ice cream!

Woo hoo! Way to go baby girl! You did it!!! I love seeing you toddle around the corner with that triumphant little smile - looking like a tiny blond Frankenstein. It really is amazing to see your little body walking. I'm so proud of you. You're SOOO big! Here are a few videos our newest little walker.
