We have been very blessed to have even more visitors come to see us in Germany. First our very good friend Maria from Spain and then the Mama J and Papa Lee. Jay has been living a life of luxury with all the attention he's received. Maria was here for 5 days and we had such a fun time with her. Both Mike and my Spanish both were in desperate need of attention and having Maria here was a breath of fresh air. Since John had to work she came by herself, leaving Johnny with her mom in Sevilla. Actually, I take that back. She wasn't here by herself. She came carrying her baby in her belly. Yup, Maria is pregnant! We're so excited for her and can't wait to see the baby. He or she is due in September. We just love September babies. A day after Maria arrived my parents flew in from the States. It was a crowded house but the more the merrier! Since my mom and dad know Maria from previous Spain visits they were very happy to see her again too. My mom was able to communicate fairly well since she took Spanish in college and Maria knows some English. And my dad was able to communicate... well just by being Papa Lee :)

We had plenty of fun while everyone was here. The night Maria flew in (before the abuelos arrived) we sent Jay off to the babysitter and had a lovely dinner in a castle. The food was delicious and the setting was beautiful. We felt like royalty... until we had to pay. Can't the dollar
please rise a little? We're dying here! We had a great night though and we truly enjoyed visiting with Maria. The only bad thing was that I kept telling the German waiter "gracias" and "por favor."

Maria kept laughing at me. She seemed to really like Germany. She had never been before and Germany is about as opposite from southern Spain as you can get. She kept saying, "Me siento como estoy en una cuenta (I feel like I'm in a fairy tale)!" I think she could easily imagine Sleepy and Dopey marching out of one of the houses singing "Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go!" Luckily we had great weather while Maria was here which she claimed to have brought with her from Spain. Thanks Maria! You can come back anytime you'd like ;)

When my parents arrived the next day we decided to head to Kaiserslautern in an attempt to keep them awake (jet-lag is no good). They could hardly handle the 1 1/2 we were there though so we headed home quickly for a nap. It was my dad's birthday that day (HAPPY BRITHDAY PAPA LEE!!!) so we had cake and homemade ice cream from the farm up the street for dessert. We also played Guitar Hero on the Wii. It was a fun celebration. Well, I'm off to pack some more. I'll write again later.
