We decided to adventure out and explore a little more of Colombia. We took a 3 hour drive to a little town called Suesca. It's known for being a great rock-climbing area. There is an old railroad track that you can walk along and all along the side are places to rock-climb. Mike was wishing he could be up there with the other rock-climbers! It was a little hard with 3 babies though so he just watched this time. The kids had a great time hiking along the rail road track and we loved the beautiful scenery. Amaya was pretty tired at one point so daddy carried her while she napped. I carried Eva in the Bjorn. Good thing Jay was tough and walked the whole way! We stayed at a really cool hotel. It was more of a huge house converted into a hotel. We stayed in a little building separate from the house with an attic. The kids thought sleeping up there was pretty cool. Unfortunately mom and dad didn't get much sleep because Eva was up most of the night wanted to breast-feed. The bed was pretty narrow so it wasn't easy getting all 3 of us on there! We did enjoy exploring the hotel grounds. The area was huge. They had a big playground area, tons of horses, turkeys, birds and other animals. They also had lots of little pathways with pretty vegetation, gardens and flowers. The kids had so much fun running up and down the paths. Amaya was not too excited about the turkeys though! They are pretty scary looking with the red snoods and their crazy gobbles :) We had a great trip despite the no sleep. It was great just getting out into the country side to enjoy the fresh air and nature.
I love how Jay has discovered reading! He finds words everywhere. The coolest thing is when he does it in Spanish.
