Happy birthday my amazing 8 year old!

I cannot believe my baby is 8! Don't I say that on every birthday? Still though... EIGHT! That means baptism age! When did that happen? My Jay bug remains the same amazing, kind, thoughtful, kind-hearted boy. I have never met a kid like him. He truly is incredible. My heart holds so much love for him. I am bursting with joy to be his mom! He amazes me daily with his Spanish. Recently he and Mariana have been playing a lot with perler beads and you have to iron the pattern once it's been created. He'll come tell me, "Mom, can you planch this please?" Hahaha! Planchar is to iron in Spanish :D So cute! He's doing so well in school and has so many friends. He abides his strong moral compass and still gives me kisses, hugs and handholds in public. I'm very grateful to be in Colombia where kids really don't outgrow that! He is such an incredible big brother. So patient and loving to his little sisters. He loves to play soccer, the Wii and Minecraft :) He also loves playing outside. He and Mariana are always running up and down the stairs, playing tag and creating all sorts of fun games together.

For Jay's birthday I made him green pancakes in the morning. He loves pancakes with Nutella on top. Jay actually had the day off of school which worked out great! Mike and I took him out for cake then Jay and I went to Game Box for a morning of fun! That night we had pizza and opened presents. It was so fun! He received SO many presents from us and his grandparents. He is one loved little dude! He got some Wii games, cars, movies and I think his favorite present was a Nano Bug Hex kit. Very cool! The kids laughed and laughed and laughed as they watched the little bugs buzz around the cage. Mike and I pretended to talk in their voices as they ran around and they thought is was hilarious. Oh how I love my babies!
